The sun shined bright and the day began. As every morning gets new hopes, new adventures, so was the day of February the 10th. Usual Tuesday morning but the happiness was about the festive month at my medical school.
I approached towards our college auditorium where we all waited for our blood donation camp to be inaugurated. After the inauguration we gathered our juniors, seniors, faculty, teaching staff,non-teaching staff and many unknown residents of the locality who visited our college. And all began with a BANG!
Being future medicos, we all believed that charity begins at home,we all gave it a try to test our hemoglobin levels.Though we had mates who being medics, were scared of syringes.Bold and brave were they and so they thought to give it a try and overcome your fears. We dint force them to donate their blood, but the feedback we got from them we could see it in their eyes.
All I could say from my experience about this day is "It is better to have a syringe fear, but bliss it is to wipe a tear." One unit of your blood will help you to realise how helpful you have been to 3 families. So if you got my motive of writing this blog is to make my reader aware, how wonderful you will feel from within if you know that people value your blood.
